The plane
We left San Francisco at noon on the 5th and arrived in Tokyo at 3:30pm local time the next day (June 6).

Tue - Tokyo
We took a few hours to straighten out our Tokyo rail passes as the airport, then began the journey on trains to the city. We set up that night in Meguro, a residential neighborhood just outside of Shibuya, in the middle of the city. We would be there for three nights in two apartments. They were tight, but the bathrooms? Think of a ship bathroom, with the flooring becoming part of the shower.
We found a very practical local place for dinner. We were all exhausted from the trip.
